Located in southeastern Brazil is the city of Rio de Janeiro. For people of the area, Rio de Janeiro is often times referred to as the Marvelous City. With a population of just over six million people, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most highly populated cities in South America. The good thing is that all of these people bring a unique feel to the culture of Rio de Janeiro. And this is one reason that the tourism industry in this city is among the best in the world. Every year thousands of people head for Rio de Janeiro to soak up the atmosphere.

Every year this carnival brings in thousands of people from every nook in the world. During the festivities music is playing, people are eating, and fun is being had by all. While on the beach you can either sit back and relax, or have some fun in the water. The choice is yours; just make sure that you have time to spend on the beach. 

Rio de Janeiro has a tropical climate, and temperatures can get very hot throughout the year. During the summer it is not uncommon for temperatures to go over the 100 degree Fahrenheit mark. Even during the winter months you should only expect temperatures to drop into the 60s. 

International flights in and out of Rio de Janeiro are taken care of at the Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport. For smaller planes and flights to nearby locations there are two other airports in Rio de Janeiro 

A trip to Rio de Janeiro is one that you will remember for the rest of your life. The tourism in this city is rising every year thanks to all of the activities and attractions of the area. No matter if you visit Rio de Janeiro during the big carnival or just in the winter, you will have tons of fun. The weather is great, and the people are always friendly.
