If you are especially lucky you may be able to find ensembles design by Paco Jamandreu, Eva Peron's favorite dressmaker and friend.

Take time to wander through the Plaza Dorrego at the intersection of Humberto Primo and Defensa Street even if you are not fond of antiques; remember you don't have to buy anything. It will be like a visit to your grandmother's attic. Here you will find those unique just to look at antiques, like old pictures, Tango Records, toys and so on.

Two Gaucho Musicians Playing Guitar and Accordion, Buenos Aires, ArgentinaWhile searching for that just-right gift, stop to watch the street performers with their variety of acts from Tango Dancing to Opera, along with artisans and leather crafts. Also, take a break from shopping to enjoy the coffee or have lunch at one of San Telmoâ?Ts fine restaurants.

On your journey through the Flea Market beware of pickpockets, and wear comfortable shoes. Remember to bring cash it will make bargaining easier if you don't speak the local language. Include a pad and pen in your travel accessories this will help bargaining by writing down the price you are willing to pay. Also, you may want to jot down notes of places you plan to visit before leaving the area; you don't want your trip to end with the bargain that got away.

The Flea Market is located at Defensa and Humberto Primo Streets, and open from 10 A.M. to 5 P. M. most Sundays.
